MC, Registered Psychologist

***Katie is accepting new adult clients!***

Are you feeling stuck in anxiety, trauma, or overwhelming emotions?  You don’t have to white-knuckle your way through life. As a trauma-informed psychologist, I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can breathe easier and begin to move forward—at your own pace. I help adults navigate life’s most difficult emotional and psychological challenges, including anxiety, PTSD and trauma, stress, low self-worth, emotional regulation, and relationship struggles. Together, we’ll explore what’s keeping you stuck, uncover your strengths, and work toward a more grounded, meaningful life.

How I Work: A Blend of Science and Heart

My therapy style is warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I know it takes courage to open up—and I honour that by creating a safe, supportive space where nothing is “too much” or “too messy.”

I use a range of evidence-based approaches to meet you where you are and help you move toward lasting change. These include:
● Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – to help you shift unhelpful thoughts and behaviours
● Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) – for emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness
● Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – to help you reconnect with your values and build a life of meaning
● Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) – a powerful and research-backed method for healing trauma
● Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused techniques – to help you reclaim your voice, build self-trust, and take small, impactful steps forward

Each session is tailored to your unique needs and goals. We might focus on practical tools to reduce distress, process difficult past experiences at a gentle pace, or explore deeper patterns that are keeping you stuck.

What I Help With

I provide individual therapy for adults in Calgary and online across Alberta. My clinical focus includes:

● Generalized anxiety and panic
● Trauma, PTSD, and childhood wounds
● Depression and chronic low mood
● Burnout, stress, and emotional overwhelm
● Difficult family dynamics and relationship patterns
● Boundaries and people-pleasing
● Life transitions, grief, and self-discovery
● Self-esteem, identity, and self-criticism

If you've been feeling like you're constantly carrying a weight—or stuck in cycles you can't seem to break—therapy can help lighten the load and point you in a new direction.

What Clients Often Say
Many clients tell me that they feel clearer, calmer, and more hopeful after our sessions. Talking openly—without fear of judgment—can be incredibly healing. You don’t have to fix everythingall at once. Often, just feeling understood is the beginning of change.

A Bit About Me
I’m originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and have called Calgary home for over 10 years. I received my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from the University of Manitoba and completed my Master of Counselling through Gonzaga University. I’m a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and a lifelong learner who is always expanding my knowledge to better support my clients.
